TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University senior quarterback Jared Jenkins has been named the Landmark Conference Football Offensive Athlete of the Week for his performance last Saturday.
Jenkins completed 17-of-26 passes including four touchdowns and a career-high 375 yards in the Hounds' 55-14 victory at Keystone College to begin the Landmark Conference season this past weekend. Jenkins averaged 22.1 yards per completion with touchdown passes of 12, 30, 64 and 66 yards, and he also rushed for 39 yards on eight attempts. Jenkins moved into fourth in program history for career touchdown passes, now with 40.
"Jared's performance on the field is a product of his constant hard work and dedication!" exclaimed Head Coach Jeff Long. "He works daily at his craft and earns the trust of his teammates everyday! Excited to see him continue to work and never be satisfied!"
The Greyhounds are slated to return to the turf on Saturday, October 12 when the squad hosts The Catholic University of America in aa Landmark Conference game beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Rocco Calvo Field.
