The Moravian College field hockey team lost to conference rival Drew University Saturday afternoon, 4-1. Sophomore midfielder Chelsea Grotyohann netted the lone goal for the Greyhounds.
Moravian got on the board first just 20 minutes in when Grotyohann netted her fifth goal of the season. The Rangers would tie up the game six minutes later with a goal from sophomore Angela Terracciano. The Greyhounds would battle to a tie going into halftime.
Five minutes into the second half freshman Melissa Boyd for Drew would score on a penalty stroke. Another five minutes later, the Rangers senior Meghan Howlett, would net her seventh goal of the year to push their lead to 3-1. Drew would add one more goal off a penalty stroke by sophomore Jess Johnson.
Greyhounds sophomore goalie, Andrea Eck totaled eight saves on the day.
Moravian returns home Wednesday, October 5 when they host conference foe The University of Scranton. The game is scheduled for 4 p.m.
