INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- The Moravian College field hockey team has two individuals ranked in the first NCAA Division III Field Hockey statistics release of the 2011 season, and the Greyhounds are ranked in the top 50 in three categories.
Sophomore goalie Andrea Eck (Catasauqua, Pa./Catasauqua HS), pictured at right, is ninth in the nation in goals-against average with a 0.32 goals-against average this season, and she is also tied for 12th in save percentage at 0.917 with 11 saves through three matches this season.
Sophomore midfielder/defender Erin Gilbert (Wilmington, Del./John Dickinson HS), pictured at left, is tied for 29th in the country with one defensive save this year.
Moravian is sixth in the nation in goals-against average at 0.32, and the Greyhounds are tied for sixth in shutouts per game at 0.67 and tied for tenth in save percentage at 0.917.
The Greyhounds, who are 3-1 on the season, will return to action on Friday, September 16th in a non-conference match vs. Arcadia University beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Betty Prince Field.
