Two Field Hockey Players Named to Landmark All-Conference Teams

MADISON, N.J. – Junior forward Briana Van Buskirk (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) and freshman midfielder Catherine Duffin (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) of the Moravian College field hockey team have been named to the 2011 Landmark All-Conference Second Team.

Van Buskirk led the way for the Greyhounds this year with 22 points (seventh best in the conference) off of nine goals (sixth in conference) and four assists. She averaged 1.29 points per game, which ranked her sixth in the conference. Van Buskirk had a career day versus Mercy College (10/18/11) when she netted three goals and added one assist. That performance was tied for the third best point total in one game by a Greyhound.

Duffin had an outstanding rookie year with Moravian, ranking second on the team in points (15) and goals (6). She also had two game-winning goals versus Neumann University and FDU-Florham. Duffin added three assists this season, and she started all 17 matches.

The Greyhounds finished their 2011 season with a 9-8 record, tied for the second most wins in a single season in school history.
