Two Field Hockey Players Ranked in NCAA Statistics

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- The Moravian College field hockey team has two individuals ranked in the second NCAA Division III Field Hockey statistics release of the 2011 season, and the Greyhounds are ranked in the top 50 in four categories including leading the nation in goals-against average and save percentage.

Sophomore goalie Andrea Eck (Catasauqua, Pa./Catasauqua HS), pictured at right, is second in save percentage at 0.920 with 23 saves through five matches this season, and she is also third in the nation in goals-against average with a 0.39 goals-against average this year after allowing just two goals in over 356 minutes of action.

Junior forward Tori Poliskiewicz (Bangor, Pa./Bangor HS), pictured at right, is tied for 48th in the country in assists per game at 0.6. She has three assists through five matches.

Moravian leads the nation in goals-against average at 0.39 and in save percentage at 0.92, and the Greyhounds are fifth in shutouts per game at 0.60 and tied for 22nd in winning percentage at .800.

The Greyhounds, who are 4-1 on the season, will return to action on Tuesday, September 20th in a non-conference match at Neumann University beginning at 7:00 p.m.
