TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University junior attack Jackie Salvatore has been selected as the Landmark Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.
Salvatore, who garnered her second Landmark Conference honor of the season, helped Moravian to a 1-1 mark last week as she set one school record and reached a pair of milestones. Salvatore had eight goals, 10 assists, 11 draw controls, a caused turnover and a ground ball during the week. Salvatore broke the school record with 14 points in a 23-4 victory over Goucher College as she netted seven goals and added seven assists and 10 draw controls. Early in the match, Salvatore became the fourth player in program history to reach 200 points. She had a goal and three assists in a 19-13 loss to Juniata College that saw Salvatore become just the second player in school history to 100 career assists.
"Jackie is a selfless player," noted Head Coach Caroline Pape. "She reached 100 career assists this week and is always working for the good of her team."
The Greyhounds, who are 6-5 overall and 3-1 in Landmark Conference action, are slated to return to action on Wednesday, April 10 when the squad hosts Elizabethtown College in a Landmark Conference match beginning at 4:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field.
