WEST CHESTER, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's track & field squad began the 2019 outdoor season at the non-scoring West Chester University Golden Ram Invitational Saturday.
Junior Carly Danoski won the 400-meter dash in 59.91 seconds to lead the Greyhounds. Sophomore Natalie Novotni was the runner-up in the 5,000-meter run in 18:18.21 while junior Katie Mayer took sixth in 19:13.31 and freshman Emma Marion was ninth in a time of 19:28.40. Freshman Natalie Stabilito was fifth in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 5:02.01 while freshman Santina Burak took eighth in 5:07.65 and freshman Rachel McCoach placed tenth in a time of 5:09.87. Sophomore Molly Talarico finished tenth in the 800-meter run in 2:30.96.
Sophomore Emily Renner placed fourth in the 400-meter dash in 1:03.14 while senior Jordan Luciano was fifth in 1:03.77 and sophomore Camaryn Wheeler was tenth in 1:05.77. Renner also placed seventh in the 200-meter dash in 27.63 seconds while Luciano was eighth in 27.65 seconds. Sophomore Jenevieve Eberly was tenth in the 100-meter hurdles in 17.48 seconds while sophomore Alison Nicolosi finished seventh in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:15.92. Moravian's 4x400-meter relay squad of Danoski, Nicolosi, junior Rachel Mikols and sophomore Nora Gimm took fifth in a time of 4:39.00
Eberly was seventh in the long jump with a leap of 4.63 meters (15-2.25) while sophomore Olivia Teel placed eighth in the high jump at 1.33 meters (4-4.25). Junior Hailee Yoder placed fourth in the javelin with a toss of 31.46 meters (103-2) while junior Vanessa Blose was seventh in the discus with a toss of 26.61 meters (87-3).
The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, March 30 in the Lafayette College 7-Way Meet.
