Moravian Competes at Lafayette 7-Way Meet

EASTON, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's track & field squad finished sixth of eight teams at the Lafayette College 7-Way Meet on Saturday.

Junior Carly Danoski paced the women with a third place finish in the 400-meter dash in 1:00.87, a seventh place in the 200-meter dash in 27.453 seconds and she ran the anchor leg of the 4x400-meter relay that finished third in 4:16.12. Sophomores Camaryn Wheeler and Emily Renner and freshman Ally Lambert joined Danoski in the relay race.

Renner was sixth in the 400-meter dash in 1:02.87 and eighth in the 200-meter dash in 27.459 seconds while Wheeler took ninth in the 200-meter dash in 27.64 seconds. Sophomore Morgan Weaver placed sixth in the 200-meter dash in a time of 27.41 seconds while senior Jordan Luciano was ninth in the 100-meter dash in 13.18 seconds and senior Anna Osman took tenth in 13.22 seconds.

 Lambert also finished fourth in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 1:09.44 while sophomore Jenevieve Eberly was fifth in 1:12.74. Junior Ashley Rohrer took third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 12:16.26. Sophomore Natalie Novotni finished ninth in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:59.66 while senior Alyssa Limbaugh was eighth in the 5,000-meter run in 20:45.36.

Luciano placed fifth in the long jump with a leap of 4.99 meters (16-4.5) while junior Vanessa Blose was eighth in the shot put at 10.08 meters (33-1) and junior Hailee Yoder was tenth in the javelin at 27.48 meters (90-2) in the field events for the Greyhounds.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, April 6 when the squad competes in the Muhlenberg College Invitational in Allentown.
