Osman Named Landmark Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week

Anna Osman named Landmark Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week.

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior Anna Osman has been named the Landmark Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Osman won the 400-meter hurdles at the non-scoring Muhlenberg College Invitational in a time of 1:06.60, and she also ran the leadoff leg of the 4x100-meter relay that took first place in 50.88 seconds. Osman also placed third in the 100-meter hurdles in 16.57 seconds.

"Anna has been nursing an injury to this point so we've been easing her back into things the past few weeks along with some cross training and work in the pool," explained Director of Cross Country and Track & Field Jesse Baumann. "Obviously she's a crucial athlete for us with how things went indoors, so it's great to have her back, getting healthy, and running fast again. Despite the setback the past month, she's already back to where she was at this time in '18 in the intermediate hurdles. Anna's goal is to try to make it to Cleveland for NCAAs, so it's very encouraging that she's showing she's where she is already, knowing she has the potential for some exponential improvements the next two months."

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Friday and Saturday, April 12-13 when the squad hosts the Annual Coach P Invitational in honor of former Head Coach Doug Pollard.
