TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University freshman Jake Haberstumpf has been named the Landmark Conference Men's Golf Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.

Haberstumpf, who earned his second Landmark Conference honor of the fall, garnered two more medalist honors in the past seven days as Moravian finished third at both the Muhlenberg College Invitational and The Melee at Riverview Country Club over the weekend. Haberstumpf averaged 71.3 strokes per round, and his 54-hole total of 214 was even par for the week. Haberstumpf won the Muhlenberg Invitational on a tiebreaker with the lowest back nine as he shot an even par 72 that included three birdies and 10 pars. He then had an opening round 73 and a two-under 69 in the second round for a 142 to win The Melee by a stroke. Haberstumpf recorded an eagle, eight birdies and 19 pars in the 36 holes.

"Jake had another great week," noted Head Coach Kevin Edwards. "He played a really good back nine Sunday making a lot of clutch putts including the 10-footer on 18 to win. He is a great addition to our team and will hopefully continue his strong play this week."

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Thursday, October 20 when the squad competes in the John Makuvek Cup being hosted by DeSales University at Brookside Country Club with tee off set for 12:00 p.m.
