Moravian Takes Third at Muhlenberg Invitational as Haberstumpf Earns Medalist Honors

ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's golf team finished third of 11 schools in the Muhlenberg College Invitational Monday played at the Lehigh Country Club. 

How It Happened

  • The Greyhounds recorded a four-man team score of 320
  • Dickinson College won the tournament with a 297

Moravian Results

  • Freshman Jake Haberstumpf won the tournament with a career low round of 68 on the par 70 course to lead the 55 golfers. Haberstumpf's round included four birdies and 12 pars. It was also his fifth medalist honor of the year, and Haberstumpf has been under par in six of 13 career rounds including three rounds under 70
  • Freshman Robbie McNelly was 13th on the day with a round of 78 with 11 pars
  • Senior Jason Koch tied for 16th with an 81 which included nine pars
  • Senior Jack Wagner finished in a tie for 43rd at 93 with four pars
  • Junior Eric Gilbert carded a 97 to finish 50th
