TOWSON, Md. --- Three Moravian University men’s golfers have earned spot on the 2023 Landmark Men's Golf All-Conference Teams with senior Andrew Hozza and freshman Jake Haberstumpf garnering spots on the First Team while sophomore TJ Bohl made the Second Team.
The trio helped the Greyhounds finish in a tie for third at the 2023 Landmark Conference Championships on April 28-29 at the Mountain View Country Club in Boalsburg. The top six individual finishers were named to the All-Conference First Team while those finishing seventh through twelfth were named to the Second Team.
Hozza earned his first career postseason honor after taking fourth of the 40 golfers with a 36-hole score of 152. Hozza had a one-over par round of 71 in the second round Saturday, shooting 10 strokes better than his opening round to move into position for All-Conference honors.
Haberstumpf was one stroke behind Hozza and tied for fifth overall with a 153 to make the All-Conference First Team. Haberstumpf carded a 72 in the second round, improving by nine strokes over his first round total.
Bohl, who was the 2022 Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year and on the All-Conference First Team a year ago, finished eighth at the tournament with a two-day score of 155. He opened the tournament with a 79 before carding a 76 in the second round.
“I was very proud of how they all played the second day,” commented Head Coach Kevin Edwards. “Andrew bounced back 10 shots better to finish fourth and earn First Team All-Conference honors, which is a great way to finish his college career, and then Jake and TJ also shot better rounds the second day with Jake earning First Team All-Conference and TJ Second Team. It’s nice to see everybody finish strong after the rough start the first day.”
