TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University freshman Jake Haberstumpf been honored as the Landmark Conference Men's Golf Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.
Haberstumpf, who garnered his fifth Landmark Conference honor of the year and second of the spring season, captured his seventh medalist honor of the year with a one-under par round of 70 to help Moravian to a fifth place finish at the F&M Spring Invitational at Bent Creek Country Club. Haberstumpf won the tiebreaker with Jas Fuhrer from F&M on the No. 1 handicap hole, the third hole on the course where Haberstumpf carded a birdie.
"Jake continued his solid play last week at Bent Creek taking another win," said Head Coach Kevin Edwards. We are looking forward to the conference championship this week."
The Greyhounds will conclude the 2022-23 season this week at the 2023 Landmark Conference Championships with the 36-hole tournament taking place on Friday and Saturday, April 28-29 at the Mountain View Country Club in Boalsburg, Pennsylvania.
