TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior long stick midfielder Jimmy Schicke has been named the Landmark Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week for his performance last week
Schicke helped the Greyhounds to a 13-11 victory over Susquehanna University in Moravian's first Landmark Conference game of 2021 last Saturday. Schicke had seven ground balls and five caused turnovers in the win.
"Jimmy is a great defender who covers the entire field," noted Head Coach Dave Carty. "He's one of the best defenders in the league between the boxes. He's a ground ball machine on the face-off.
The Greyhounds, who are 3-0 overall this spring, are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, April 7 when the squad hosts The University of Scranton in a Landmark Conference contest beginning at 4:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field.
