Greyhounds Set for Men's Lacrosse Program's First-Ever Landmark Conference Tournament Appearance on May 1 at Susquehanna

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's lacrosse team earned the fifth seed and will make the program's first-ever appearance in the Landmark Conference Tournament on Saturday, May 1 as the Greyhounds travel fourth seed Susquehanna University for a Quarterfinal match beginning at 2:00 p.m.

The Hounds enter the postseason for the second time under Head Coach Dave Carty, who had Moravian participate in ECAC Division III Mid-Atlantic Tournament in 2016 during his first year in Bethlehem. The Greyhounds and the River Hawks have met twice already this spring with Moravian winning 13-11 in Bethlehem on April 3 and Susquehanna capturing a 16-7 victory in Selinsgrove last Saturday

Junior attack Connor James leads the Hounds with 32 goals and 11 assists to go along with 22 ground balls and four caused turnovers while senior attack Cade Siddron has contributed 27 goals, 11 assists and 14 ground balls. Junior attack Griffin LeBlond has added 20 goals and seven assists while junior midfielder Zach Bergeron has 11 goals and four assists to go with 15 ground balls and seven caused turnovers. Junior midfielder Nick Nolder has six goals, seven assists, 15 ground balls and six caused turnovers while freshman attack Trevor Dzama has five goals and six assists.

Senior attack Connor Hull has six goals and four assists while sophomore midfielder Shane Cassel and sophomore midfielder Jack Bakey each have two goals and three caused turnovers with Cassel adding 11 ground balls and Bakey scooping up 13 ground balls. Kevin Berlin, Timothy Dwyer, freshman midfielder Joey Furino and freshman attack Brennan Fluehr each have one goal and one assist with Dwyer scooping up 10 ground balls and Berlin contributing five ground balls. Freshman midfielder Justin Greene has one assist for the Greyhounds.

Junior face-off specialist Ben Walek is 73-for-155 on face-offs with 37 ground balls and an assist while senior long stick midfielder Jimmy Schicke has added 54 ground balls, 15 caused turnovers and an assist. Senior defender Tanner Leslie has a goal, 22 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers while senior face-off specialist Max Towers is 65-for-129 on face-offs with a goal and 36 ground balls. Freshman defender Jacob Stetson has 12 ground balls and four caused turnovers while junior defender Nathan Hannis has six ground balls and three caused turnovers and senior long stick midfielder Trevor Green and junior long stick midfielder Liam Dugan each have four ground balls.

Sophomore goalie Sean DeMott has a 4-6record in goal to go with 108 saves, 11 ground balls and three caused turnovers in 590 minutes while freshman goalie Avery Napolitano has three saves in 10 minutes of action.
