TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College sophomore goalie Sean DeMott has been named as the Landmark Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week for his performance in the final regular season match.

DeMott played all 60 minutes in the Greyhounds' 16-5 win at Drew to end the regular season and clinch the fifth seed in the Landmark Conference Tournament. DeMott made seven saves in the victory. Later in the week, DeMott had 12 saves in 52 minutes while helping Moravian earn its first-ever postseason win with an 18-12 victory at Susquehanna University in the Landmark Conference Quarterfinals.

"Sean is a hard-working goalie who has grown as a starter for us," commented Head Coach Dave Carty. "He made some great saves, and he's coming into his own as our starter."

The Greyhounds, who are 5-6 overall, are scheduled to return to action in the Landmark Conference Semifinals on Wednesday, May 5 when the squad travels to top seed The Catholic University of America for a 7:00 p.m. match.
