Greyhounds Ready for Landmark Conference Semifinal Match at The Catholic University of America on May 5

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The fifth seeded Moravian College men's lacrosse squad earned the first postseason victory in program history last Saturday, and now the Greyhounds are ready for a trip to top seed The Catholic University of America for a Landmark Conference Semifinal contest on Wednesday, May 5 at 7:00 p.m. in Washington, D.C.

Head Coach Dave Carty has the Hounds in the postseason for the second time in his six years leading the Moravian program, and the Blue & Grey's 18-12 win at fourth seed Susquehanna University in the Landmark Conference Quarterfinals was the first in the postseason for the Greyhounds. Moravian and Catholic have played twice already this season with the Cardinals winning 28-10 in Washington, D.C. on April 10 and 17-8 in Bethlehem on April 21.

Junior attack Connor James leads the Hounds with 35 goals and 12 assists to go along with 23 ground balls and four caused turnovers while senior attack Cade Siddron has contributed 31 goals, 13 assists and 16 ground balls. Siddron has eight man-up goals and one man-down goal this spring while James has seven man-up goals and one man-down goal. Junior attack Griffin LeBlond has added 24 goals and eight assists while junior midfielder Zach Bergeron has 13 goals and four assists to go with 16 ground balls and seven caused turnovers. Junior midfielder Nick Nolder has seven goals, 11 assists, 15 ground balls and six caused turnovers while senior attack Connor Hull has seven goals, seven assists and five ground balls.

Freshman attack Trevor Dzama has six goals, six assists and five ground balls while sophomore midfielder Shane Cassel has three goals, 17 ground balls and six caused turnovers. Senior midfielder Timothy Dwyer has two goals, an assist, 11 ground balls and three caused turnovers while sophomore midfielder Jack Bakey has two goals, 13 ground balls and three caused turnovers. Junior midfielder Kevin Berlin, freshman midfielder Joey Furino and freshman attack Brennan Fluehr each have one goal and one assist with Berlin contributing five ground balls. Freshman midfielder Justin Greene has three assists for the Greyhounds.

Junior face-off specialist Ben Walek is 75-for-158 on face-offs with 37 ground balls and an assist while senior long stick midfielder Jimmy Schicke has added 57 ground balls, 17 caused turnovers and an assist. Senior defender Tanner Leslie has a goal, 24 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers while senior face-off specialist Max Towers is 82-for-157 on face-offs with a goal and 46 ground balls. Freshman defender Jacob Stetson has 15 ground balls and five caused turnovers while junior defender Nathan Hannis has six ground balls and three caused turnovers. Senior long stick midfielder Trevor Green has seven ground balls while junior long stick midfielder Liam Dugan has four ground balls.

Sophomore goalie Sean DeMott has a 5-6 record in goal to go with 120 saves, 14 ground balls and three caused turnovers in 643 minutes while freshman goalie Avery Napolitano has four saves in 17 minutes of action.
