Remias Named Landmark Conference Men’s Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University senior goalie Andrew Remias has been named the Landmark Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.

Remias helped the Greyhounds defeat Juniata College, 2-0, in Landmark Conference action in his only action of the week. Remias made a pair of saves for his seventh shutout of the season, tying current Moravian University President Bryon Grigsby '90 for second all-time in shutouts in a single season. Remais, who earned his second Landmark Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week honor of 2023, also has 11 career shutouts, which is tied for fifth in program history.

"Congratulations to Andrew for being named Landmark Conference Defensive Athlete of the Week," Head Coach Bob Wilkinson said. "Andrew controlled the box and made a key save early in the game that kept the game scoreless. Andrew has had a great season recording seven shutouts. We look forward to the final week of the regular season with so much to play for."

The Greyhounds, who are 5-6-4 overall and 3-4-1 in Landmark Conference action, are scheduled to play their final non-conference match of the season when the squad hosts Ursinus College on Tuesday, October 24 at 7:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field.
