BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's squad moved a step closer to a postseason berth with a 2-0 victory over visiting Juniata College in Landmark Conference action on John Makuvek Field Saturday as the Greyhounds celebrated Senior Day.

How It Happened

• Neither squad was able to find the net in the first half with the Eagles holding the early 5-3 advantage in shots
• The Hounds broke up the shutout in the 60th minutes as freshman defender Aidan Costa sent a ball into the box that junior defender Kyle Weiss one-touched over to senior defender Donald Gibbs, who ripped a shot into the goal
• Moravian added a second goal in the 81st minute as junior forward Jacob Braman turned and scored off a pass from freshman defender Max Teneza  

Inside the Numbers

• Gibbs' goal was his third of the season and fifth of his career while Weiss registered his second assist of the fall and third of his career and Costa earned his first career assist
• Braman scored his second marker of 2023 and his career, while Teneza recorded his first collegiate point
• Senior goalie Andrew Remias made a pair of saves for his seventh shutout of the season, tying current Moravian University President Bryon Grigsby '90 for second all-time in shutouts in a single season. Remais also has 11 career shutouts, which is tied for fifth in program history
• The Blue & Grey finished the match with a 10-8 edge in shots while Juniata had a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks
• Prior to the match, Moravian honored its senior class of Gibbs, Remias, Daniel Babbert, Jake Crawford, Alex Daniele, Vito Leone, Dave Steinbach and Jared Whitehorn
