BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's soccer team finished its 2023 home season with a 3-3 draw versus visiting Ursinus College in non-conference action on John Makuvek Field Tuesday evening.
How It Happened
- The Greyhounds jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 28th minute as freshman midfielder Colin Woehlcke found the net off a pass from freshman defender Aidan Costa
- The Blue & Grey held the 1-0 advantage through the remainder of the first half
- The Bears knotted the match in the 55th minute with an unassisted goal
- Moravian responded less than two minutes later as freshman midfielder Ryan Latchford headed in a free kick by junior defender Cole Stevens
- The Hounds stretched the advantage to 3-1 in the 60th minute as freshman midfielder Rafi Sanjuan knocked in a pass from Costa
- Ursinus notched goals in the 69th and 71st minutes to tie the contest back up at 3-3
- Neither squad was able to find the net but continued to put shots on the keepers in the final 19 minutes
Inside the Numbers
- Woehlcke, Latchford and Sanjuan all scored the first goals of their collegiate careers
- Costa has three assists this fall while Stevens earned his first career point with his assist
- Senior goalie Christian Beebe recorded five saves in the contest
- The Hounds finished the night with a 22-16 advantage in shots while the Bears held a 4-3 edge in corder kicks
