Moravian Plays to Scoreless Draw With Wilkes in Landmark Conference Action

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's soccer squad played to a scoreless draw with visiting Wilkes University in Landmark Conference action on John Makuvek Field Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened

  • While neither team was able to score, Moravian had a 16-8 advantage in shots and an 11-3 edge in corner kicks
  • One of the best scoring opportunities for the Hounds came in the final seconds as freshman defender Aidan Costa fired the ball from beyond midfield to have the shot bounce off the crossbar with just two seconds left 

Inside the Numbers

  • Senior goalie Andrew Remias made four saves for his fifth shutout of the season and the ninth of his career, tying him for ninth in the program record book
  • For the Hounds, it was their fourth scoreless draw of the season and second of the week
  • Moravian also celebrated its Alumni Day with a match among former players Saturday morning
