Elmore Named Landmark Conference Softball Player of the Week

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University senior shortstop Ajala Elmore has been named as the Landmark Conference Softball Player of the Week for her performance last week.

Elmore led No. 6 Moravian at the plate in a 2-3 week at the 2024 National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III Leadoff Classic in Columbus, Georgia to start the 2024 season. Elmore hit .583, going 7-for-12, with three runs, two doubles, a homer and three RBIs. She had a .538 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage, and Elmore had eight putouts and ten assists in 22 chances in the field. She collected at least one hit in four of the Hounds' five games, going 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI in the season-opening 10-4 victory versus No. 21 Central (Iowa) College. Elmore was also 2-for-2 with a homer in a 5-2 win over Illinois Wesleyan University.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, March 13 when the squad travels to King's College for a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 3:00 p.m.
