TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University sophomore catcher Marcie Silberman and sophomore pitcher Natalie Otto have been selected the Landmark Conference Softball Athlete and Pitcher of the Week for their performances last week.

The duo helped the Greyhounds to a 4-0 record during the week in Landmark Conference action as the squad outscored its opponents, 47-2.

Silberman hit .467 last week as she went 7-for-15 with five runs, two doubles, three homers and seven RBIs. She also had a 1.200 slugging percentage and .500 on-base percentage after being hit by a pitch, and Silberman recorded nine putouts and an assist in ten chances in the field. Silberman had three of the Greyhounds' nine home runs during the week with two in a sweep of Elizabethtown College and one in a sweep at Juniata College. Silberman hit safely in all four games last week.

"Scoot had a great week both offensively and defensively," stated Head Coach Josh Baltz. "When she puts the barrel on the ball, she has very productive at-bats and is a big force in the middle of our order. Defensively she has limited the run game and is a great leader behind the plate."

Otto had a 2-0 week in the circle, and she gave up a run on six hits and a walk while striking out six batters in 12 innings in the circle. Otto tossed the first perfect game of her career in Moravian's 12-0 win over Elizabethtown with three strikeouts. She then posted a 6-1 win at Juniata with three more strikeouts.

"Nat had a great week in the circle and has performed very well all season," Baltz said. "She has stepped up and made the most of her opportunities. She attacks hitters the right way and gives up a great chance to win every time she's out there!"

The Greyhounds, who are 19-6 on the season and 9-3 in Landmark Conference play, are scheduled to return to action on Thursday, April 18 when the team hosts rival Muhlenberg College in a non-conference doubleheader starting at 3:00 p.m. at Blue & Grey Field.
