Moravian Remains 16th in Latest NFCA DIII Top 25 Poll

LOUISVILLE, Ky. --- The Moravian University softball team remained 16th in the latest 2024 National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III Top 25 Poll of the regular season released Tuesday.

The Greyhounds, who were sixth in the NFCA DIII Preseason Poll before falling to 16th in the first regular season poll, are 2-3 on the year after beginning the year at the 2024 NFCA Division III Leadoff Classic in Columbus, Georgia on March 2-3. Moravian began the season with a 10-4 win over Central (Iowa) College, which is now 22nd in the poll, and the Hounds fell to Bethel (Minn.) University, ranked eighth this week, 4-3, and Chapman (Calif.) University, which fell out of the poll to receiving votes this week, 12-1.

Moravian has six road games to finish its season-opening road trip including a doubleheader at No. 19 Lebanon Valley College on Tuesday, March 19 before the squad makes its 2024 home debut on Saturday, March 23 versus Wilkes University.
