TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University junior midfielder Megan Donnelly has been honored as the Landmark Conference Women's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.
Donnelly, who was named the Landmark Conference Offensive Athlete of the Week last Monday, helped Moravian to a 1-1 week that saw the Greyhounds clinch their fourth consecutive Landmark Conference Tournament appearance. She had a goal, two assists, 11 draw controls, four ground balls and three caused turnovers in the two contests. Donnelly had five draws, a ground balls and a caused turnover in Moravian's 19-10 win over Elizabethtown College to clinch the trip to the postseason, and she added a goal, two assists, 6 draws, three ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers in an 18-12 loss to The University of Scranton.
"Megan continues to use her speed and mentality to go hard on each end of the field," commented Head Coach Caroline Pape. "She battles for each possession and gives a strong effort to slow other teams down, win the ball back, and play at a fast pace."
The Greyhounds, who have an 8-7 record this spring, are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, April 26 in a non-conference match at FDU-Florham beginning at 7:00 p.m.
