TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University senior midfielder Lindsey Strohl has earned a spot to the 2022 Landmark Women's Lacrosse All-Conference First Team while senior defender Samantha Cherenson and freshman attack Jackie Salvatore were selected to the All-Conference Second Team with Salvatore tabbed as the Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year.

The trio helped the Greyhounds to an 8-10 record this season and the program's fourth trip to the Landmark Conference Tournament where the third seeded Hounds fell to second seed The University of Scranton, 24-13, on Wednesday. Moravian posted a 5-2 record in the Landmark Conference regular season.

Strohl, who was a member of the All-Conference Second Team in 2019 and 2021, led the Greyhounds with 54 goals, 109 draw controls, 37 ground balls and 20 caused turnovers this season to go with three assists for a total of 57 points. Strohl completed her career tied for the school record with 285 draw controls, fifth in goals with 143 and fifth in points with 155 to go along with 90 ground balls and 48 caused turnovers.

"Lindsey is extremely deserving of Landmark Conference First Team honors," commented first-year Head Coach Caroline Pape. "She is one of the toughest, smartest, and most competitive athletes in the league and that I have had the honor to coach. She has grown each year which is even more remarkable considering the impact she has had on this program since her freshman season. She leads us in goals, draw controls, ground balls, and caused turnovers and has truly brought this program to new heights each year she has been here."

Cherenson made the All-Conference Second Team for the second consecutive spring, and she contributed 35 ground balls, 16 caused turnovers and an assist this spring. Cherenson had 80 ground balls, 44 caused turnovers, 26 draw controls and an assist in 47 career contests.

"Sami is incredibly focused, determined, and insightful in her play and leadership of our defense," stated Pape. "She is very deserving of All-Conference honors and has overcome a lot to come back and perform at the level she has this year; and at an even higher level each of her seasons. She is an encouraging and motivational leader to our entire team through effort, support, and attitude; and is elite in her play and knowledge on the field."

Salvatore garnered the first Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year honor in program history after leading the Greyhounds with 63 points on 40 goals and 23 assists to go along with 25 ground balls, 11 caused turnovers and seven draw controls.

"Jackie is incredibly deserving of All-Conference honors and especially Rookie of the Year," Pape noted. "In her first year, she is our leader in points and assists, and is one of the quickest and most composed on the field. She does not play like a rookie at all and has brought our team and offense to a new level and speed of play. She is motivated, dedicated and an all-around great teammate and person, and I am thrilled to see her getting this recognition."
