Moravian Set to Travel to Scranton for 2022 Landmark Conference Semifinal Match on May 4

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The third seeded Moravian University women's lacrosse squad is set to travel to second seed The University of Scranton for a Landmark Conference Semifinal match on Wednesday, May 4 at 5:00 p.m.

First-year Head Coach Caroline Pape has guided the Greyhounds to an 8-9 record in her debut season, and she has led the program to its fourth consecutive Landmark Conference Tournament. Moravian has faced Scranton in the Landmark Conference Semifinals in each of the last three tournaments, falling 19-7 in 2021, 20-12 in 2019 and 17-10 in 2018.

Freshman attack Jackie Salvatore leads the Hounds with 59 points on 39 goals and 20 assists to go with 24 ground balls, seven draw controls and nine caused turnovers while senior midfielder Linsdey Strohl leads the Blue & Grey with 97 draw controls, and she has netted a team-high 51 goals to go with three assists, 37 ground balls and 20 caused turnovers. Junior midfielder Megan Donnelly has 33 goals and 16 assists with 75 draw controls, 29 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers while senior attack Eliza Fantazzi has 29 goals, 12 assists, eight ground balls and six caused turnovers.

Freshman attack Madi Dippel has contributed 23 goals, six assists, 24 draw controls, 12 ground balls and six caused turnovers while freshman midfielder Alex Cherenson has 20 goals, four assists, 11 ground balls and four caused turnovers. Junior attack Devin King has nine goals, 17 assists, five caused turnovers and nine ground balls while senior attack Kelsey Moore has added 14 goals, five assists, 15 ground balls and seven caused turnovers. Junior midfielder Emily Hoskin has six goals, two assists, 49 draw controls, 31 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers while junior attack Kendall Lomascola has 12 goals and 2 assists. Sophomore defender Keara Reilly has a goal, 25 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers.

Junior goalie Brelyn Friedman has made 103 saves and added 25 ground balls, three caused turnovers and a 7-9 record in 772 minutes of action while junior goalie Rylee Soltis has a 1-0 mark, 31 saves and six ground balls in 247 minutes in goal. Senior defender Samantha Cherenson has 35 ground balls, 16 caused turnovers and an assist while senior defender Meghan Moore has added 25 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers. Senior defender Jamie Bader has 21 ground balls and eight caused turnovers while senior Eirean Perst has 10 ground balls and five caused turnovers. Sophomore defender Olivia Williams has contributed four ground balls and three caused turnovers while sophomore defender Alise Downey has scooped up three balls.

The winner of Wednesday's semifinal match will advance to the championship round of the tournament, which will be played on Saturday, May 7 at the highest remaining seed. Wednesday's other semifinal features top seed The Catholic University of America hosting fourth seed Drew University at 7:00 p.m.
