Hounds Remain Unbeaten with Landmark Conference Win at Catholic

WASHINGTON, D.C. --- The Moravian College women's tennis squad remained unbeaten during the 2021 season with an 8-1 victory over host The Catholic University of America in Landmark Conference action on Saturday. 

How It Happened

  • The Greyhounds swept the doubles action to take a 3-0 lead. Seniors Emma Angle and Mary Angle earned an 8-4 win at first doubles while seniors Brooke Adams and Kristen Cassidy posted an 8-2 victory at second doubles. Sophomores Julianne Cassady and Cristina Merone recorded an 8-4 win at third singles
  • Mary Angle was the first off the courts with a 6-1, 6-0 win at second singles while Emma Angle clinched the winning team point with a 6-4, 6-1 victory at first singles. Adams won 6-2, 6-4 at third singles while Cassidy had a 6-0, 6-2 triumph at fifth singles. Sophomore Maddie Figiel recorded a 6-1, 6-1 win at sixth singles as the Hounds led 8-0
