Greyhounds Sweep DeSales, 9-0, at Hoffman Courts

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team remained undefeated on the 2018-19 season with a 9-0 sweep of DeSales University in non-conference action on Hoffman Courts Wednesday afternoon.

The Greyhounds started the contest with a sweep of doubles action. Junior Eiman Nazif and sophomore Emma Angle were the first off the courts with an 8-1 win at first doubles while junior Lauren Steinert and sophomore Mary Angle captured a victory at second doubles by the same score. Senior Kate Rennar and sophomore Brooke Adams finished off the doubles with an 8-6 triumph at third doubles.

Moravian would take all six singles matches in straight sets with Emma Angle off the courts first at second singles with a 6-2, 6-0 win. Steinert posted a 6-0, 6-2 triumph at fourth singles before Nazif finished off a 6-0, 6-1 victory at first singles. Adams was next to walk off of the courts with a 6-3, 6-0 win at fifth singles while Rennar earned a 6-2, 6-1 victory at sixth singles. Mary Angle finished off the match with a 6-4, 6-1 win at third singles.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to on Sunday, September 23 when the Blue and Grey host Cedar Crest College in a non-conference match beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Hoffman Courts.
