Greyhounds Move to 3-0 in Landmark Conference Action with Sweep at Susquehanna

SELINSGROVE, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team improved to 3-0 in Landmark Conference action with a 9-0 sweep at Susquehanna University Sunday afternoon, the Greyhounds' fifth 9-0 victory of the season.

The Hounds, now 9-1 overall and 3-0 in Landmark Conference play, took all three doubles matches by 8-2 scores with victories from junior Lauren Steinert and sophomore Mary Angle at first doubles, senior Kate Rennar and sophomore Emma Angle at second doubles and sophomores Brooke Adams and Kristen Cassidy at third doubles.

The Blue and Grey then won all six singles contests with five in straight sets. Emma Angle won 6-0, 6-2 at first singles while Mary Angle had a 6-2, 6-4 triumph at second singles. Steinert posted a 6-1, 6-0 victory at third singles while Adams won 6-2, 6-2 at fourth singles and Cassidy earned a 6-0, 6-0 victory at fifth singles. Rennar dropped her first set at sixth singles before coming back to win 2-6, 6-3, 10-5.

Moravian is scheduled to return to the courts on Saturday, April 6 when the squad hosts The Catholic University of America in a Landmark Conference contest at Hoffman Courts beginning at 1:00 p.m.
