Greyhounds Sweep Cedar Crest to Improve to 3-0

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team posted its second straight shutout, sweeping Cedar Crest College, 9-0, in non-conference action at Hoffman Courts Sunday afternoon.

The Greyhounds, now 3-0 on the season, captured all three doubles contests with the tandem of junior Lauren Steinert and sophomore Mary Angle off the courts first with an 8-0 triumph at second doubles. Junior Eiman Nazif and sophomore Emma Angle finished next with an 8-0 victory at first doubles while sophomores Destiny George and Nicole Peluso recorded an 8-3 win at third doubles.

The Hounds would take all six singles matches by the score of 6-0, 6-0. Sophomore Brooke Adams was the first to complete her match at fifth singles while Steinert won at fourth singles. Emma Angle was next off the courts at second singles with her victory, and she was follow by Nazif at first singles. Mary Angle won at third singles while senior Kate Rennar finished the sweep with a victory at sixth singles.

Moravian is slated to close out the fall portion of its 2018-19 season on Tuesday, October 2 when the squad welcomes Marywood University to Hoffman Courts for a non-conference match beginning at 4:00 p.m.
