Emma Angle honored as Landmark Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week.

TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College sophomore Emma Angle has been honored the Landmark Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Angle, who earned her second Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week honor of the year, helped Moravian open the 2019 Landmark Conference season with a 6-3 victory over Elizabethtown College. Angle combined with junior Eiman Nazif for an 8-7 (8-6) win at first doubles for the Greyhounds' only point in doubles action. She then won in straight sets at first singles to earn the first of five singles wins by Moravian to take the match.

"Emma played 2 great matches for us in our first conference match of the season this past weekend getting pivotal wins at #1 doubles and #1 singles," commented Director of Tennis Aaron Wilf. "Emma is such a great competitor on the tennis court and she continues to make great contributions to our tennis program."

Moravian is slated to return to the courts on Tuesday, March 26 when the squad hosts FDU-Florham in a non-conference match on Hoffman Courts beginning at 4:00 p.m.
