Greyhounds Sweep FDU-Florham at Hoffman Courts for 10th Consecutive Victory

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's tennis squad captured its 10th consecutive victory and its seventh 9-0 win of the season as the Greyhounds swept visiting FDU-Florham in non-conference action at Hoffman Courts Tuesday.

The Hounds, now 15-1 this year, opened up the afternoon with three doubles victories with junior Eiman Nazif and sophomore Emma Angle coming off the courts first with an 8-3 triumph at first doubles. Sophomores Brooke Adams and Kristen Cassidy posted an 8-6 win at third doubles while junior Lauren Steinert and sophomore Mary Angle finished with an 8-3 victory at second doubles.

Moravian took all six singles contests including five in straight sets. Adams finished first with a 6-0, 6-0 win at fifth singles while Nazif captured the winning team point with a 6-0, 6-2 victory at second singles. Cassidy recorded a 6-0, 6-3 win at sixth singles while Emma Angle won 6-4, 6-4 at first singles. Steinert earned a 6-1, 6-2 victory at fourth singles while Mary Angle finished of the sweep with a 6-1, 0-6, 10-4 triumph at third singles.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to close out their non-conference schedule on Thursday, April 25 when the squad hosts King's College at Hoffman Courts with action beginning at 4:00 p.m.
