STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. --- Moravian College senior Greg Jaindl ran a school record time of 8:33.91 in the 3,000-meter run to finish eighth in the race at the University of Albany Winter Classic run at the Ocean Breeze Complex in Staten Island, N.Y.

Jaindl surpassed his previous school mark by one hundredth of a second, and he moved up to 22 on the Track & Field Results Reporting System list. The top 20 individuals in each event as of March 7 will compete in the 2020 NCAA Division III Indoor National Championship in North Carolina the following weekend.

The Hounds are slated to return to action on Saturday, February 8 in the Alvernia University PLEX Shootout.
