Women's Tennis Falls to Ursinus, 5-4

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's tennis team dropped its final non-conference match of the 2011-12 season, falling to host Ursinus College, 5-4, Monday.

The Bears took a 2-1 lead  in the doubles competition with the Greyhounds earning an 8-6 win at first doubles from the tandem of junior Chelsea Ott and sophomore Katie Zien.

Moravian would capture three of the six singles matches with Ott winning in straight sets at first singles and Zien posting a straight sets victory at third singles. Sophomore Erica Venuti earned the Greyhounds final post with a three-set win at fifth singles while senior Brianna Kavanagh would force a third set at fourth singles before dropping her match.

The Greyhounds will close out their 2011-12 season on Saturday, April 21 when the squad hosts Goucher College in Landmark Conference match at Hoffman Courts beginning at 1:00 p.m.
