Women's Tennis Set For Landmark Conference Semifinal Match Versus Susquehanna

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Moravian College women's tennis team will be taking on Susquehanna University in the semifinals of the Landmark Conference Tournament on Tuesday, April 24th. The match is set to start at 12:00 p.m. at the West Branch Tennis Club in South Williamsport, Pa.

The Crusaders (9-5, 4-2 Landmark) defeated the Greyhounds (5-7, 3-2 Landmark) earlier this season by a score of 6-3. Earning victories for Moravian in the match was junior Chelsea Ott defeating senior Julia Learner (6-0, 6-1). Sophomore Erica Venuti defeated junior Ellen Pulsinelle (6-4, 6-3) and the combination of Ott and sophomore Katie Zien defeated junior Abby Hess and freshman Shelby O'Riley, 9-8 (7-2) in doubles.

Leading the Greyhounds on the court is Ott, who is 16-3 overall, 12-1 in first singles and 6-0 in conference play. Zien is 11-4 while Venuti is 9-8 in singles. Freshamn Carly Agrifolio is 6-13 while sophomore Olivia Sonnabend is 5-7.

Ott and Zien are 9-1 overall and 6-0 in conference play doubles when paired together. Zien is also 12-2 overall in doubles action. Agrifoilio is 10-5 and Venuti are both 10-5 in doubles play.

Learner leads Susquehanna with a 7-7 mark in first singles while going 5-8 in doubles. O'Riley is 8-6 in singles and 6-1 in third singles while going 9-3 in doubles action. Hess is 7-6 in singles while going 11-3 in doubles play. Freshman Brielle Ferlauto is 5-2 in singles and 7-6 in doubles while sophore Jessica Klinger is 5-8 in singles and 5-7 in doubles. Senior Cassie Zerbe is 5-2 in singles while Pulsinelle is 6-8 in singles and 5-6 in doubles play.

The winner of this match will take on the winner the other Landmark Conference semifinal matchup that puts Drew University versus the University of Scranton. The match will played on April 28th at the highest seed remaining.
