TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University junior sprinter Crystal Robinson has been honored as the Landmark Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Robinson took second in the 60-meter dash at the Ithaca College Quad Meet last Friday in a time of 8.11 seconds in the final after qualifying fourth in 8.23 seconds. Robinson also finished third in the 200-meter dash in a time of 27.17 seconds. She garnered a total of five points for Moravian, which finished third in the meet.

"Crystal is coming off a back injury that affected her even during our meet back in December, so she had to take some time off and clearly that affects her training," noted Director of Cross Country and Track & Field Jesse Baumann. "With that being said, she bounced back really nicely in the 60 with two really quick times on Friday and a strong 200 considering some of the training volume she's missed. This is as fast as we've seen her acceleration in her time here, and to be this quick for her in December/January, we're really excited what that'll translate into in the 200 and 400 as we progress through the season."

The Greyhounds are slated to return to action on Saturday, January 22 when the squad hosts the Moravian Indoor Meet at Lehigh University's Rauch Fieldhouse with action beginning at 10:00 a.m.
