Hounds Win Three Events & Record Six AARTF Qualifying Marks at Lafayette Open to Start Outdoor Season

EASTON, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's outdoor track & field squad started its 2022 outdoor schedule at the Lafayette College Open Saturday, and the Greyhounds won three events and recorded six All-Atlantic Regional Track & Field qualifying marks. 

Event Winners

  • Junior Crystal Robinson won the 400-meter dash in 1:00.63
  • Robinson also won the 200-meter dash in an All-Atlantic Region Track & Field qualifying time of 25.17 seconds
  • Junior Helen Davis captured the 100-meter dash in an AARTF qualifying time of 12.31 seconds

Top 10 Results

  • Sophomore Lexi Groff was the runner-up in the high jump at an AARTF qualifying height of 1.60 meters (5-3)
  • Freshman Abby Giamoni was the runner-up in the 400-meter dash in 1:00.98
  • Freshman Arin Peykar finished fourth in the shot put with a mark of 10.81 meters (35-5.75) on her first throw while freshman Caillie Fish was eighth at 9.57 meters (31-4.75) and freshman Mikayla Woodring took tenth at 8.42 meters (27-7.5)
  • Sophomore Brooke Tulloch was fourth in the javelin with a PR toss of 32.21 meters (105-8) while sophomore Delaney Wiseman finished fifth at 31.79 meters (104-3), freshman Abby McClaskey took sixth at 31.25 meters (102-6) and sophomore Vicky Donovan placed eighth at 31.07 meters (101-11)
  • Sophomore Kinsey Metzger took third in the discus with a toss of an AARTF qualifying and PR mark of 42.76 meters (140-3), the third best mark in program history
  • Junior Elizabeth DeMassa finished seventh in the triple jump with a leap of 10.18 meters (33-4.75) while junior Haylee Saylor took tenth at 9.54 meters (31-3.75)
  • DeMassa also placed eighth in the long jump with a leap of 4.87 meters (15-11.75)
  • Senior Santina Burak was fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with an AARTF qualifying and PR time of 12:01.82 while freshman Rachael Goodman finished sixth in 13:52.40
  • Senior Natalie Stabilito placed seventh in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:57.96
  • Freshman Lizzy Blaski took seventh in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 17.00 seconds while Elizabeth DeMassa was ninth in 17.53 seconds and freshman Bella DeMassa finished tenth in 17.70 seconds
  • Blaski was also fifth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:14.50 while freshman Ashley Rodrigues took sixth in 1:19.98 and Bella DeMassa was seventh in a time of 1:23.57
  • Freshman Racquel Ramey placed tenth in the 100-meter dash in 13.67 seconds
  • Giamoni took fourth in the 200-meter dash in and AARTF qualifying time of 25.34 seconds while Davis finished sixth in 26.01 seconds
  • Senior Emma Marion was fourth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 19:16.74
  • The Greyhounds 4x400-meter relay squad of Stabilito, junior Rachel Byrne and freshmen Rylie Murphy and Amber Poniktera placed sixth in a time of 4:36.30
