Greyhounds Turn in Three AARTF Qualifying Marks & 13 PRs in Penn State Tune-Up

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's indoor track & field squad turned in a trio of All-Atlantic Region Track & Field qualifying marks and recorded a total of 13 PRs in the non-scoring Penn State University Tune-Up Friday in the Greyhounds final event before the 2022 Landmark Conference Indoor Championships next weekend.

Top 10 Finishes

  • Freshman Lizzy Blaski finished sixth in the finals of the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 10.27 seconds after qualifying for the finals in sixth with a time of 10.37 seconds. Freshman Bella DeMassa finished seventh in the finals in 10.36 seconds after qualifying in eighth at 10.44 seconds while junior Elizabeth DeMassa was eighth in the finals in 10.45 seconds with the seventh-best qualifying time of 10.38 seconds. Freshman Ashley Rodrigues took ninth in the preliminaries in a PR time 11.04 seconds
  • Freshman Racquel Ramey placed eighth in the finals of the 60-meter dash in a time of 8.76 seconds after she qualified in eighth with a preliminary time of 8.64 seconds, setting a new PR
  • Byrne finished tenth with a PR time of 1:02.11 in the 400-meter dash
  • Giamoni was sixth in the 200-meter dash in an AARTF qualifying time of 26.29 seconds while Robinson finished eighth in an AARTF qualifying time of 26.40 seconds
  • Freshman Caillie Fish took seventh in the shot put with a PR throw of 9.62 meters (31-6.75)
  • Elizabeth DeMassa was seventh in the long jump with a leap of 4.63 meters (15-2.25) while junior Haylee Saylor placed ninth with a distance of 4.53 meters (14-10.5)
  • Senior Emma Marion took seventh in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 11:16.06

PR Distances/Times

  • Junior Maddie Wickel set a PR in the 20-pound weight throw with a toss of 12.71 meters (41-8.5) in the women's unseeded event as she passed her previous best by over two and a half feet. Fish also set a PR in the event with a toss of 11.76 meters (38-7) on her first attempt, surpassing her previous PR by four feet
  • Freshman Lily Mingora ran a PR time of 12:19.38 in the unseeded 3,000-meter run, improving her time by 14 seconds while freshman Ally Meeks added a PR of 12:20.72 in the race, bettering her previous best by nearly 23 seconds
  • Freshman Amber Poniktera posted a PR time of 5:41.92 in the unseeded mile run, improving by nearly nine seconds
  • Freshman Hannah Kolonoski recorded a PR of 2:35.34 in the 800-meter run while freshman Rachael Goodman added a PR of 2:39.93, a ten-second improvement on her time
  • Saylor added an indoor PR time of 28.68 seconds in the 200-meter dash while Blaski added a PR time of 29.45 seconds
