Greyhounds Earn One Event Win at Covert Classic Hosted by Lehigh

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's outdoor track & field team competed in the non-scoring John and Carol Covert Classic hosted by Lehigh University Saturday. 

Event Winners

  • Sophomore Lexi Groff won the high jump at an All-Atlantic Region Track & Field qualifying height of 1.60 meters (5-3)

Top 10 Results

  • Senior Emma Marion finished seventh in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 19:58.13 while freshman Gillian Schonenberg was tenth at 22:25.95
  • Freshman Amber Poniktera was eighth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12:14.08 while freshman Hannah Kolonoski finished a spot back at 12:58.56
  • Freshman Zoey Bronson placed tenth in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:03.81, and she won her heat of the race
