BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's volleyball team is set to start the 2022 season on Friday and Saturday, September 2-3 with the annual Greyhound Premiere Invitational in Johnston Hall.
The Greyhounds will host Olivet (Mich.) College, SUNY Cobleskill and Baruch (N.Y.) College in the tournament with two matches on September 2 and one contest on September 3. The Blue and Grey will then welcome DeSales University to Johnston Hall for a non-conference match on Wednesday, September 7. Moravian hits the road for two trips to Allentown, the first on Saturday, September 10 for a tri-match at Cedar Crest College with Alvernia University, and the second on Wednesday, September 14 to Muhlenberg College.
The Hounds head out of the Lehigh Valley for the first time in 2022 on Friday and Saturday, September 16-17 with a trip to the Neumann University Knights Invitational where Moravian will play Stockton (N.J.) University and Widener University on Friday and Ursinus College on Saturday. The Blue and Grey will finish the month of September with six more matches including three in Johnston Hall as the squad hosts Lancaster Bible College on Monday, September 19, Gwynedd Mercy University on Friday, September 23 and Ursinus on Wednesday, September 28. The squad also has a road trip to Penn State Harrisburg on Thursday, September 22 and a tri-match at Marywood University with Misericordia University on Saturday, September 24.
October begins with the Greyhounds' first Landmark Conference matches of the season on Saturday, October 1 at Goucher College with Elizabethtown College. Moravian heads to Susquehanna University on Wednesday, October 5 in Landmark Conference action before heading to Ramapo College of New Jersey on Saturday, October 8 for a tri-match with St. Lawrence (N.Y.) University. The Hounds' eight-match road trip continues with a Landmark Conference match at The University of Scranton on Wednesday, October 12 and a tri-match at Rutgers-Camden with Immaculata University on Sunday, October 16.
Moravian plays five of its final six matches of the year in Johnston Hall with the last road trip to Drew University in Landmark Conference action on Wednesday, October 26. The Blue & Grey will host Penn State Berks on Tuesday, October 18, Penn State Schuylkill on Thursday, October 20 and Pratt Institute on Saturday, October 22 before welcoming Juniata College and The Catholic University of America for Landmark Conference matches on Saturday, October 29 to close the regular season.
The Hounds look to qualify for the 2022 Landmark Conference Tournament that begins with the semifinals on Wednesday, November 2 and the finals slated for Saturday, November 5 at the highest remaining seeds' home court.
