Hounds Fall to No. 3 Juniata & Catholic on Final Day of 2022 Campaign

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's volleyball squad fell to No. 3 Juniata College, 3-0, and The Catholic University of America, 3-1, in Landmark Conference action Saturday in Johnston Hall on the final day of the 2022 season.

  • The Greyhounds took the opening set against the Cardinals, 25-20, before Catholic won the next three sets 25-15, 25-15, 25-19 to win the contest
  • Deegan led Moravian with 14 kills to go with three digs and a pair of blocks while Bauer added 10 kills
  • Junior middle blocker Grace Silfani contributed nine kills and a pair of digs while Krasley had seven kills and junior middle blocker Autumn Marrero posted four kills, three digs and two blocks
  • Matos registered 40 assists to finish her career with 1,478 assists, which ranks eighth in school history, and she had 18 digs to finish her career with 750 digs
  • Mancini posted 21 digs and two assists as she completed her career with 1,024 digs, which is 15th in program history
  • Szy and junior defensive specialist Allie Ludlow both had 13 digs in the contest with Szy adding two service aces while DeYesso added nine digs
