Greyhounds Drop Landmark Conference Match at Susquehanna

SELINSGROVE, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's volleyball squad dropped a 3-0 decision in Landmark Conference action on the road Wednesday evening.

How It Happened

  • The River Hawks jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the opening set. The Hounds closed within 12-9 but Susquehanna pulled away for a 25-18 set victory
  • The Greyhounds opened an early 4-3 advantage in the second set before a 6-0 run by Susquehanna propelled the River Hawks to a 25-13 set win
  • Susquehanna took a 6-1 edge to start the third set, and the River Hawks went on for a 25-11 set victory to clinch the match

Inside the Numbers

  • Sophomore right side hitter Makenzie Krasley led Moravian with five kills while junior right side hitter Sophie Bauer, junior middle blocker Autumn Marerro and sophomore outside hitter Jenna Deegan all had four kills with Deegan and Marerro both contributing three blocks and Bauer adding three digs
  • Senior setter Natalia Matos led the Hounds with 19 assists to go with two digs while senior libero Gabby Mancini had a team-high 14 digs
  • Junior middle blocker Grace Silfani and freshman outside hitter Caroline Melillo both had two kills
  • Junior defensive back Kat DeYesso contributed seven digs while junior defensive specialist Emily Szy had six digs and junior defensive specialist Allie Ludlow posted five digs
