Track & Field Teams Ranked in USTFCCCA Regional Top Ten Index

NEW ORLEANS, La. --- The Moravian College men's & women's track & field teams are both ranked in the Mideast Region in the first NCAA Division III Regional Team Index of the 2012 outdoor season released by the U S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Wednesday with the Moravian men second in the region while the women are fourth.

The Greyhound men have a total of 227.95 points.  Salisbury University leads the Mideast Region with 281.68 points while Carnegie Mellon University is third with 217.44 points.

The Greyhound women have a total of 172.69 points.  Salisbury tops the women's top ten with 301.82 points while Westminster (Pa.) College is second at 220.95 points while Johns Hopkins University is third at 197.41. 

The scoring system for the teams shall be the sum of two factors measured per individual/relay performance on the national descending-order lists: place on the descending order list and a weighed value of the individual/relay performance based on the field ("bonus").  Complete information and the polls can also be found at http://www.ustfccca.org/rankings/division-iii-rankings.

Moravian will return to action on Friday and Saturday, April 6 and 7 when they travel to the Sam Howell Invitational hosted by Princeton University and on Saturday, April 7 at the Muhlenberg College Invitational.
