UPDATE: Florida Storm Forces Schedule Changes

CLERMONT, Fla. - The Sunshine State can't always live up to its nickname.

Three Moravian College athletics programs had their Spring Break schedules changed on Thursday due to a large storm system and severe weather moving accross the state of Florida.

The softball team had its game postponed in Clermont against Neumann University scheduled for 1 p.m. today. The Greyhounds plan to make up the East regional contest with the Knights in Pennsylvania during the spring.

Softball also had their second game of the day cancelled. The game was originally scheduled for 3 p.m. versus Aurora (Ill.) University, and the match will not be rescheduled.

The baseball team was scheduled to take on Adrian (Mich.) College at noon on Thursday, but never got under way before the storm moved in to Port Charlotte. The game was cancelled officially at 1 p.m. with no make up game scheduled.

The women's tennis team has had their dual match of Spring Break with John Carroll University in Tampa cancelled due to a Tornado Watch in the Tampa area that is scheduled to last into the evening. The match will not be rescheduled.
