Wagner Tabbed Corvias ECAC DIII South Co-Pitcher of the Week

CENTERVILLE, Mass. --- Sophomore hurler Brett Wagner of the Moravian College baseball team has been tabbed as the Corvias ECAC Division III South Co-Pitcher of the Week for his two-hit shutout last Friday.

Wagner shared the honor with freshman pitcher Mike Cramer from Saint Vincent College.

In his first start on the mound this spring, Wagner tossed his first career shutout as the Greyhounds posted a 10-0 in the second game of a Landmark Conference doubleheader with Drew University to earn a split with the Rangers. Wagner allowed just two hits and a total of three base runners with no walks in the seven-inning game. He struck out three Rangers to improve to 2-0 on the hill this year.

"Brett was in control of all three of his pitches last Friday, and really gave us the outing we needed in a span of five conference games in three days," stated Head Coach Paul Engelhardt. "Brett has had some really good outings this season including a five-plus inning relief stint in Florida to help us beat nationally-ranked Adrian College for his first win of the year."
