Hounds Adjust Landmark Opening Weekend Schedule vs. Drew

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Due the current condition of Gillespie Field after this winter's snow fall, the Moravian College baseball team has had to adjust its 2014 Landmark Conference opening weekend schedule with Drew University.

The Greyhounds, the defending Landmark Champions, and the Rangers, the 2012 champs, were slated to begin the three-game series with a pair of seven-inning games as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, March 15. That twinbill has been rescheduled for Monday, March 17 and will be played at Diamond Nation (http://diamondnation.com/) in Flemington, New Jersey with first pitch scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

The single nine-inning game scheduled for Sunday, March 16 in Bethlehem has also been postponed but no make-up date has been rescheduled at this time.

Moravian was selected to repeat as Landmark Champions in the coaches' preseason poll and is currently 6-3 on the year with two of the victories coming against teams ranked in the D3baseball.com Top 25 poll.

The Hounds spent part of the day on Tuesday out on Gillespie Field shoveling snow off of the infield to try and help get the field playable as soon as possible.
