Three Hounds Ranked in NCAA Baseball Statistics

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- Three players on the No. 21 ranked Moravian College baseball team are ranked in the latest NCAA Division III statistics through games of April 20, and the Greyhounds are in the top 35 of 12 statistical categories as a team.

Junior right fielder Matt Hanson is currently 23rd in the nation in RBIs per game at 1.26, and he is tied for 20th with 39 RBIs through this past Sunday. Hanson has increased his RBI total to 44 with three games earlier this week.

Junior third baseman Ryan Luke is tied for 22nd in doubles with 14 on the year while sophomore first baseman Charles Savite is tied for 30th in RBIs with 36.

The Greyhounds are tied for 10th with five shutouts, tied for 11th with 17 triples, 12th in win-loss percentage at .813, 13th in scoring at 8.4 runs per game, 15th in runs with 269, tied for 15th in doubles with 75, tied for 16th in triples per game at 0.53, 18th in WHIP at 1.23, 20th in batting average at .334, 20th in hits with 384, 24th in doubles per game at 2.34 and 33rd in hits allowed per nine innings at 8.18.

Moravian, now 27-8 on the year, is scheduled to play its final non-conference doubleheader of the season on Sunday, April 27 when the squad host New Jersey City University at Gillespie Field. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
