Baseball at Kean Postponed for Tuesday

Gillespie Field under snow

UNION, N.J. --- The Moravian College baseball team has had its non-conference game at nationally-ranked Kean University on Tuesday, February 25 postponed due to cold temperatures and a make-up date will be announced at a later time.

The Greyhounds and the Cougars, ranked fifth in the first D3baseball.com Top 25 poll for the 2014 season released late Monday, were set to meet in a battle of teams that played in last year's NCAA Division III Tournament. Kean, which is 3-1, has its turf field cleared of snow and ready to play on but the real feel temperatures in the teens at the scheduled first pitch time of 3:00 p.m. this afternoon make it too cold to play.

The Greyhounds, who are 2-1 and received votes in the D3baseball.com Poll, will now return to action on Sunday, March 2 when they open their trip to the Snowbird Classic in Port Charlotte, Florida with a doubleheader versus Heidelberg University starting at 3:00 p.m.
