MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. --- Junior third baseman Ryan Luke of the Moravian College baseball team has been named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week for his performance last week.
Luke, who was also named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week back on March 11, helped the No. 22 ranked Greyhounds to a 3-2 record last week as the team improved to 29-8 on the season.
Luke hit .556 (10-for-18) last week, and he hit safely in all five games with four multiple hit games. Luke was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs in a loss at Alvernia University. He had a pair of triples, one in each game, in a sweep of New Jersey City. For the week, Luke had eight RBIs, scored four runs, drew three walks, and had a .591 on-base percentage and a .889 slugging percentage.
"It takes the team winning for the players to receive individual awards and Ryan had a big part in our wins last week," said eighth-year Head Coach Paul Engelhardt. "The team has been play well. Ryan has been playing well all season but he's been overshadowed by another guy or two. I think Ryan would be the first one to say it is a team effort and he couldn't have done it without his teammates."

Moravian is the top seed in the 2014 Landmark Conference Tournament and will host the double elimination tournament at Gillespie Field from May 3 to 5. The Greyhounds will begin action on Saturday, May 3 versus fourth seed The United States Merchant Marine Academy at 11:00 a.m.
